Project Description:

The Princes Hwy and Waratah St intersection is identified as a key bottleneck on the Princes Hwy. The upgrade will contribute to improved journey time and reliability along the entire corridor through Kirrawee and improve access into and out of the Kirrawee north precinct. The key features of the proposed Princes Highway and Waratah Street intersection upgrade include lane widening, provide a dedicated left turn lane from Princes Highway to Waratah Street sand provision of a signalised pedestrian crossing across Waratah Street.

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is planning an upgrade of the Great Western Highway (HW5) between Katoomba and Lithgow as part of the Great Western Highway Upgrade program (GWHUP). This commitment aims to reduce congestion and improve reliability for those travelling within and through the Blue Mountains.

Coxs River Road (CRR) involves the upgrade of approximately 2.4 kilometres of the Great Western Highway at Coxs River Road, Little Hartley. The proposed works include a new alignment of the Great Western Highway to provide a four-lane divided carriageway and a grade separated interchange at Coxs River Road.

Project Description:

The Stage 5 Roadworks is part of the construction works to complete the proposed Bondi Junction Cycleway & Streetscape Upgrade Works (part of the Bondi Junction Complete Streets Project). This upgrade aims to create appealing meeting places through introducing green public areas and improving footpath connectivity for active travel including cycling, walking and access to public transport.

The proposed cycleway travels through Bondi Junction commercial centre, linking Oxford Street, Syd Einfeld Drive and Bondi Road to an existing cycleway at the north-eastern corner of Centennial Park. The project is to be completed in various stages to minimise disruption for cars, cyclists, pedestrians, and residents/businesses and specifically flow of public transport.

Project Description:

The duplication of the Port Botany Freight Line aims to improve the efficiency and capacity of the rail connection to the port and reduce road congestion around Botany and the adjacent Kingsford Smith Airport. It will also support the intermodal terminals at Minto, Yennora, Chullora, Enfield, and Moorebank (once completed).

Temporary traffic management arrangements were implemented on Southern Cross Drive (SCD) (in both directions) at the existing Port Botany railway bridge to facilitate space for piling works and column pier installation. Work area to be located within the middle of the existing SCD median. The audit team assessed the live temporary traffic works on-site, for potential road user safety risks.

Project Description:

The Epping Bridge Project proposes to replace the existing Epping Road bridge with a new, wider, bridge. Key features of the upgrade include, an additional westbound traffic lane, an additional right turn lane eastbound from Beecroft Road onto Blaxland Road, a wider pedestrian and bicycle shared path, a raised central median, with widened eastbound and westbound lanes and installation of new safety screens on the bridge.

The new Wentworth Point High School is being developed to cater for the growing population in the Wentworth Point, Sydney Olympic Park and Concord West communities. The school will be located on a part of 7 Burroway Road, Wentworth Point. The high school will have flexible teaching and learning spaces for approximately 1,500 students as well as a multipurpose hall for sports and performance, outdoor spaces including landscaped recreation areas, games courts and canteen facilities. As part of the works, a pedestrian crossing is proposed on Burroway Road, east of the existing roundabout.
