D-TAL is an Australian based and owned civil engineering consultancy specialising in road and highway design, temporary traffic management and road safety. D-TAL began in 2020, with a vision to become a global, industry leading civil engineering design consultant, specialising in transport infrastructure and temporary traffic management. The Opportunity 

Due to a strong pipeline of transport infrastructure projects, D-TAL requires the services of a motivated, high performing Civil Engineering Graduate to work within and continue to grow our expanding road design team. The full-time role is within an industry leading road design team, a rare opportunity to learn from some of Australia’s most proficient and respected road designers.  

Main Responsibilities 

• Prepare strategic, conceptual, and detailed road design models using OpenRoads Designer, in accordance with Austroads Guide to Road Design. 
• Read, analyse, and interpret engineering drawings and communicate design intent concisely.  
• Prepare design reports, technical engineering calculations and checks.  

Our ideal candidate 

• Formal qualification – Civil Engineering Degree or similar.  
• Ability to communicate clearly and purposefully with direct manager and wider D-TAL team.  
• A high achieving team player. A passionate engineer looking for professional development and growth.  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive and PowerPoint.  
• Ability to read, analyse and interpret engineering drawings such as plans and details.  
• Initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  
• Motivated and driven individual
